Title: Influence of blending, annealing and reprocessing on morphology and properties of polylactide
Symposium: Natural Based & Biodegradable Polymers
Educational Background
Hans-Joachim Radusch had studied Chemical Engineering / Polymer Materials Technology at the Technical University Merseburg, and he graduated with a PhD thesis in the field of polymer processing in 1975
Professional Experience
After his PhD study he was employed for three years in industry before he returned to Technical University Merseburg. 1985 he habilititated with a thesis on polymer blends.
1989 he became a professor of Polymer Materials Technology at the Technical University Merseburg, and 1994 he was called for a full professorship for Polymer Technology at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Joachim Radusch held the chair of Polymer Technology at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg from 1994 to 2014.
In between the last 20 years he had been the director of the Institute of Materials Science and the Institute of Materials Technology as well as the vice-dean of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences of the University Halle-Wittenberg. From 2007 to 2013 he was the director of the Polymer Competence Center Halle-Merseburg. Prof. Radusch is a long lasting member and Representative of Germany of the Polymer Processing Society.
His current research is focused to the development of new polymer materials by blend and composite technologies under special consideration of nanofillers and nature based polymers. Since approximately 10 years he performs research in the field of generation and investigation of shape-memory polymers.
